How often can I get the Playbox?
We are a monthly subscription box service for children. Each month a new box is curated and ready to be shipped to our subscribers. We also offer prepaid options of 4, 6 or 12 month durations. Choose an option which best suits your family or select gift at checkout to gift to friends or family. Please note: we do offer a cancellation policy however we request a minimum 2 month commitment period before cancellations can be made.
Is it only for children aged 4-7 years old?
The boxes are created with children aged 4-7 years old in mind. However if your child is older or younger, loves picture books and creative activities then the boxes may suit them too.
How many children does the box materials cater for?
The Book Playbox contains enough materials for a single child to complete the activity twice or enough materials for two children to complete the creative activity together.
What is in The Book Playbox?
Each monthly box makes reading fun. It will arrive at your door with a quality hardcover children's picture book, and a creative activity to compliment the book’s storyline. Materials are supplied for the creative activity and include helpful instructions.
How does the monthly subscription and billing work?
Our subscription boxes ship on the 5th of each month. The pre shipment cut off date is the 4th of each month. Subscription billing occurs on the 15th of the previous month. Prepaid options are paid upfront with full shipping costs to cover your chosen prepaid option, this cost is added at the time of purchase. All of our subscription and prepaid box options require a minimum 2 month commitment period before any changes can occur.

Shipping costs and timeframes?
We have a flat rate shipping fee of $10.00 NZD per box. Shipment costs include delivery to New Zealand and Australian addresses.
Delivery timeframes vary depending on your location and when you signed up to the subscription service. We use NZ Post for New Zealand shipping and can be received within a number of days from the shipment date and we use DHL Express to ship boxes to Australia which can take between a few days to well over a week from the shipment date depending on the isolation of the regional destination. Tracking numbers are provided on all shipments.
Any orders made between the 5th of each month should be shipped in the following shipment. For example if you sign up on the 5th of June, your first box will ship on July 5th, however if you sign up before the 4th of June your first box ships on June 5th.
If you try to subscribe and we are out of inventory you will be unable to recieve a box this month, however we encourage you to secure your box for the following monthly cycle.
Give as a gift?
Yes we do offer a gifting service. Please choose your preferred subscription or prepaid option and select 'Gift' at the checkout. Please complete the required information to proceed with your purchase.
Do you ship internationally?
We currently only ship to New Zealand and Australia.
What currency does the website use?
All prices on the website are presented in New Zealand dollars.
